Please, God, Don't Let This Be Us
I saw a real estate ad today that embodies my deepest, darkest fear about our addition:
Home under construction for 30 years. No septic. Site used exclusively as weekend retreat. Close to Harpers Ferry, CharlesTown & Martinsburg with new Route 9, 25 miles to Frederick, MD or Leesburg, VA

That might very well be the most honest real estate listing ever.
How many times have I driven out to see houses where the listing neglected to mention that one wall of the house was missing, or where the "newer barn" had been built in the seventies and lacked both a roof and two walls? Yeah.
